By John Sheridan in General 41 views 31st Oct, 2022 Video Duration: N/A
Every year, billions of dollars of goods are being traded from Australia to foreign destinations through shipping containers.

The busiest ports by cargo tonnage of Australia are the Port of Hedland, Newcastle, Port of Dampier, Gladstone, Hay Point, Abbot Point, Fremantle, Weipa, Bunbury, Geraldton, the port of Melbourne, the port of Brisbane, Esperance, Port Botany in Sydney, port Adelaide, port Kembla in Sydney, Townsville, Thevenard, Darwin and Geelong.

Each of these ports delivers different type of goods and the most exported products of Australia are raw materials such as iron ore, coal briquettes, gas, gold, bovine and sheep meat, copper ore, aluminium oxide and bauxite and wheat.

The destination of these exports are many, but without any doubt the biggest importer of Australian goods is by far China, following Japan, South Korea, the United States, India and the United Kingdom. Gold is shipped only through air freight, from the airport of Perth, Sydney and Adelaide.
