Swinburne's Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre (AMDC), located at Hawthorn campus in Melbourne, will be completed by mid-2014. The AMDC will promote innovation and collaborative learning and be a centre for excellence in manufacturing and design.

The building reflects Swinburne's reputation as a leading design and research institute with strong technology and business connections. It will be certified to five-star Green Star and is designed to minimise resource consumption over its life.
